Cars are a passion project. For lame-o commuters and soccer moms, cars may just be designed to get you from A to B, but for car guys who love their all-terrain tires more than their PS5, it's their whole world. When you have a project car, like a fun, vintage square-body truck, a tuned-up Jeep, or that ancient Bronco you found in your uncle's junkyard, you start to obsess over all of the ways that you'll make this bad boy street-legal. 

Being cool on the road has its price, and most of us car people get strapped with custom mechanic bills with a comma or two in the total balance due. 

But think of the coolness? Think of how many dates you'll score when you rev your engine at the stop light… And how many old ladies will shake their heads as you pass noisily through the neighborhood! They were wrong when they told us we had to grow up and stop playing with Tonka trucks, because guess what boys, we've got one sitting in our garage just waiting for us to tune up that ol' engine, slap on a new paint job, and pray she passes smog.
